I made the decision to launch my own line after I realized I've only grown fonder for the clothes in my Italian mom's and aunt's closets.  I like to imagine that the collection is all the unseen pieces from their wardrobes. Their story inspired me and continues to do so. They, 2 sisters from Italy, met and fell in love with 2 brothers from Jordan.  They hung out in Rome and travelled through Italy and the Middle-East before moving to the US in the late 70s and wore chic Italian frocks and Middle-eastern robes and kaftans and look so super cool, effortless and beautiful.     Their romantic story, their wardrobes, and my own experience enriching myself in both cultures have inspired and shaped me as a person and have defined my taste. The ethereal sheath dresses like Botticelli goddesses and Roman Classical sculpture, the kaftan silhouettes of the Middle-east and the Seventies, the obscure and wondrous natural colors of the desert and patterns of the stars have also been a source of inspiration. A subtle mysticism is embedded in the natural dyed pieces, soft layers and fluid lines are designed to flow and embrace the female form.   All pieces are made in NYC, using only the highest quality natural materials and ethically run factories.     xo Rawan
